The Colt SAA in question with this movie is a 32-20. And yes those were made.
A question for the more informed among us. Did Colt ever make a SAA chambered in 25-20 or was that just some movie producers dream gun,(All The Pretty Horses)?

Colt never made the SAA in 25-20..guess there was no big demand for it. I had one once that had the bbl and cylinder relined and chambered for 25-20...but traded it off for something else.........

TED CRUZ FOR PREZ IN '16!
As swamprat said, Colt never made a 1st Generation 25-20 Single Action. I wish they had, I’d love to match one up with a 25-20 Winchester Model 1892 SRC the way I have with the 32-20, 38-40, and 44-40; but the downside would be a Single Action chambered in 25-20 would probably weigh 15 pounds!![]()
Colt did make a few experimental Army Specials in 1921-22 chambered for .25-20. Serial # 470036 is featured in a book of reprints from The American Rifleman called American Handguns & Their Makers. It's a 6" version and the rifling is identical to that used in Colt's .25 ACP pistols. The author reported some problems with case set back similar to what happens with the .22 Remington Jet (.22 Magnum) when the chambers are not kept completely oil free.
I have that movie and i swear he said 32-20. Maybe i'll check it out again. I liked seeing a good ol' Bisley being used in that movie. It looked like this one I post all the time.

Thanks to all who replied to my question. I need to watch the movie again myself. Anyway, thinking about and discussing topics like this is what is so interesting to me about Colts guns. Glad I can own a few!
