1873 Colt Navy Single Action Revolver and a Dying Request

Hello forum members. I have a friend and she is need of help. As the thread title says its a heavy request. She has her fathers 1873 Colt Navy Single Action Revolver, serial number 215149 and its in pieces and has a broken hammer. She wishes it to be repaired to working order. It is her fathers dying wish to shoot this piece of history. He has terminal cancer and not long to live. So I am asking the forum for help as I have no idea where to turn to see if this Colt can be repaired and put back into firing condition-so her dad can shoot it before the inevitable. Can anybody here point us in the right direction? Pictures below are the revolver. And to make this easy you can contact me atr.matthews@comcast.net. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Bob (I have posted this in Smithing as well sorry for the double post but I need help)

A gunsmith in your locale could put this together. You need the notches rebuilt on the hammer and I don't know about other internals. A used but good hammer would be the quickest fix unless your gunsmith is capable of repairing.
Send me a p.m. if your smith gets in a bind for parts.

Here's one excellent Colt Single Action gunsmith service.
They can rebuild the broken hammer and assemble the gun into shooting shape.
They're a busy company, so you'd need to talk to them about the time problem.

Colt Single Action Army Revolver- Edward Janis, colt single action, peacemaker, single action army, colt, colt single action, colt pistol, colt revolver, colt gun

215149 was made in 1901, so it was a smokeless powder frame. If in safe condition it can be shot with standard load ammo.
Note that this isn't a "Colt Navy 1873". It's a commercial Colt Single Action Army.

I can assemble your gun and supply the needed parts at a reasonable cost, with no charge for the labor. You can contact me at hhclark@wildblue.net. I have rebuilt a number of SAA's, just can't refinish them!
