Just picked up this .22 lr Diamondback today from a local shop that is known for overpriced used guns. It came with the Herret stocks pictured, but I had the Colt stocks lying around and thought they looked better. It also came with the Triple K Holster and gun sock:
D prefix SN that puts it as a 1976 produced gun. The barrel is a little ugly on the left side and you can tell it's been carried in that holster some, but lock-up is good and it does not look like is was fired much. The holster is for a SAA.
And the best part - it was $399 plus tax. I can't figure out why they priced it so low - maybe someone forgot the 1 in front...
Better buy a lottery ticket. It is your lucky day. Great price on a shooter DB. I like the smaller duty stocks and a Tyler T-Grip on my DB .22. Like this combination better than the original oversized Colt Target stocks. Enjoy your Colt.
A little honest use is never ugly, you got a great deal and you will have a lot more fun with that than the guys that have the boxed virgins in their safes.
Very nice. I bet that thing will get used, and rightly so. Love revolvers that are not safe queens ( love looking at other peoples safe queens, I just don't like to own them)
Or leave it as is and have a wonderful tool that you do not have to be worried about putting in a holster or carrying in the field. Colt quality at a Taurus price. I love it!
you look at these revolvers ,and can't help but think, that due to their value few will be shot. Colt will never make them again, but it would be interesting to have someone clone these like the SAA and 1911s.
Wow! That's a screaming deal. I recently paid $1800 for a 4" in the box 22lr, which was not a bad price considering the market. That will make for a great shooter. Congrats.
Heck, I'll even offer you $100 over what you spent! Killer deal, I'm very jealous. Missing that first number sure did cost them.
