    New Colt's for 2014?

Yeah I been over on the S&W forum because I own and shoot those too.
Folks over there been talking about all of the new S&W revolvers that are in the 2014 catalog.
    9 mm revolvers, K frame .357 (mod 66)...
Do you think that Colt will ever figure it out and start building regular production revolvers again?
How about a re-release of the Dick Spl, Diamondback, Trooper.
C'mon I gotta believe these things would sell like crazy. S&W revolvers will not stay on dealer's shelves around here for very long. Prices are steadily going up.
    How's that saying go?

    Cemoto, welcome to the forum.

I see that you are relatively new and may not realize, as some have already alluded to, that this topic has been discussed before.

Colt, for a variety of reasons, has been reluctant to re-introduce revolvers. I believe a major reason is that to make one at a cost-effective price, they wouldn't meet the quality standards Colt fans have come to expect, and making a revolver of the quality we are used to would result in it being so expensive that it wouldn't sell enough to recoup the investment.

Anyway, again, welcome, and feel free to discuss what's on you mind, even if others have seen it before. We all had to learn and start somewhere.

You're welcome, and please don't be put off by the other responses. The topic of Colt making new revolvers has been discussed at length on this forum in the past, and usually if one of the "regulars" brings it up, the "dead horse," or should I sat the "dead Rampant Colt," analogy rears its head in jest. I'm sure that was how it was meant here, but since you are a new member, the intended humor may not have been so obvious.

Anyway, again welcome to the forum, and don't let any of us scare you away.
