Hello @ all from Germany,
i have got some colt pistols looks like model 1900, 1902, 1906 und 1907. no one have marking except the serial number. Unfortunately some details on this pistols are a lttle strange. So the 1906 model have a slidecatch.
The distributer from which i have bought this guns tell me that they come from cuba.
My Question: Is it possible that this pistols are copys from the original colt pistols?
thanks in advance for your opinions,
Frank

Oh My!
Ok, iŽll try it.
That Gun could be a 1900 model cal. .380 ACP, but there is no sight safety and the wrong hammer..

Hi Anaconda.44,
The one you have labeled as a m-1906 is a Colt's Model 1905 Automatic Pistol. I can't see the slide legend or the serial number to tell you its exact variation, but its overall configuration is a Model 1905 .45 acp.
Colt modified the original Model 1900 .38acp site safety guns in 1901 about serial number 3250 or so... the sight safety was replaced by a regular style safety and the rounded hammer was introduced and sold by Colt... That is what the first gun is...
The third gun is an original sight safety model with the original spur hammer that was sent back to Colt for conversion to regular fixed sites after 1901 and Colt didn't replace the spur hammer with the round hammer on these returns like they put on the later production guns...
Hope that helps...
Bob
Hello Bob, thx a lot for your answers!
Do the 1905 Model have a slide catch? I have read in a book that the 1907 Model is a 1905 Model modified with a slide catch and a grip safety, so i have implied that the 1905 don't have a slide catch...
Thank you, Frank
The Model 1905 has a slide stop .
