But, we have WWII era 1911s coming through CMP at some point. And what is the military going to do with the M9s that will soon be replaced? My point is, if you are looking for Government issue, more are coming.

IMO, anyone buying multiple copies of these (to flip) will have a very difficult time just recovering their expense.
    LOL,
I bet if you ask anyone in here that purchased one for $1400 to sell theirs to you for $1500 you will get zero takers

they sold 700 ( I didn't calculate that... but I believe it and will take others word for it... pages and pages of BUY NOWS that look to be 700) .
700 sold since Last Friday morning. I don't think it was secrecy , I can only deduce that they required no advertisement.
Any ahead of time advertisement and, Like BusaDave said, I believe there would have been a stampede.

The appeal over current ionBond is that the Ionbond guns are likely to remain in use for a long time.

There was two major points of appeal here.
    1. If you didn't get a USMC rollmarked CQB , this was THE fleeting chance to have one..
    2. The USMC marked gun was in the military. .. Either used by a desk jockey who kept a lot of sand in his holster .. or somebody likely in a possible combat zone .. Middle East.. judging from the looks of that kind of wear. .. a lot of sand- we can be sure of that.
And if it was or was not - no one can prove otherwise. It's coming with a letter that leans toward the wuz.

700 guns. 4 days. There was more ah-peel than a train full of bananas.

If you don't call 700 sold in two days a stampede I don't know what you would call it?

I'm glad I ordered one yesterday in spite of the BS gold club membership.

I have little doubt that these would have moved just as rapidly at twice the price.
