    Hmmm….all of this poised over Terence Lapin's Mosin-Nagant book. Another acquisition in the works? A Finnish 28/30 perhaps?

    Other than the bluing is definitely not Colt, I would appreciate some insight as to why it isn't factory. I am totally ignorant about engraving.

    Could you guys please explain how you know it's not Colt's engraving? I don't know anything about it and don't know how to tell if it's genuine Colt or not. Thanks.

    The style of the engraving and the finish are complely different that factory work. For $1300 I wouldn't think twice I would buy it. Very nice work.

    It's not very well executed. Like the one guy said, the artistry is much to crude.

    The work with leaving just a "bar" around the stamping on the slide looks quite unprofessional.
