Not a chance.
May have been done in a factory but not the Colt factory.....
Collecting high condition military, pre war and early post war Colt's and boxes.
Not factory but you can send it to me since its no good any longer they took all that metal off the gun and scratched it up pretty bad. Just kidding nice looking gun though. I like it.
"In Africa, the saying goes, 'In the bush, an Elephant can kill you, a leopard can kill you, and a Black Mamba can kill you. But only with the Mamba is death sure.'Hence its handle, 'Death Incarnate." -Kill Bill vol 2 (Tarantino,2004)
Outstanding no matter who did it!

This isn't my gun but is for sale locally. Owner wants $1300 for it.
Sounds like a good deal at $1300.
The sad fact is that if it isn't factory work - and this definitely isn't - is that unless the engraver is well-known - most guys won't pursue the piece.
Engraved sidearms are very subjective and require that the potential buyer be drawn to the work.
I'd like to see some close-up images of the engraving but I'm afraid it doesn't look very professional. There's a lot of coverage but there doesn't seem to be
much "artistry" in terms of layout and execution.
