Colt 1908 Vest Pocket .25 Cal Price

What is the going price for a Colt 1908 Vest Pocket made in 1914. Barrel is perfect with no pitting or anything. Bluing has worn off the slide but it's still on the gun. No box or anything. Sorry no pictures.. Just give me your thoughts on price.

    Thanks,

    Jason

I wish 225 lol. They are going for little more then that it seems. There price on it is 400 even. They are pricing it in the 80-70 percent range and it's pretty close to that from looking at the gun.

I bought 3 of them in the past 6 months. 1 for $270, 1 for $220, and 1 without a slide catch or mag for $125 (however, it is in the best condition of the 3 overall, and has a serial in the 77,xxx range). I'll post some pics for you in the next few days.

I've seen pretty nice ones going sub $400s lately. I know of one dealer that has one he has been bringing to every gun show in Maine for about 2 years for $595. It's from around 1912 or so and in a box with the papers but the box is real ratty. It's in decent shape with the high polish blue that I love. The best he would do on it is $575. I actually would have bought it if I could have sold the two guns I brought to the show but it wasn't meant to be. I bet he still has it when the Augusta gun show comes up in August. Anyway, at $595 (and I know he hasn't budged on the price because he always has the SAME hand written tag on it which I recognize every time) it still hasn't sold and its been two years easy that he's had it. Maybe if I wave $500 at him in August he will finally let it go.

compared to both my 1903 .32 and 1908 .380 that has been refinished professionally it looks like it is the original finish. I wish I had the box for it!
