Picked up a series 70 Gold Cup in .45 . Acciording to the serieal number it was made in 1981. About 99%+, all original ,without the box.

I looked at other Gold Cups before and this one is a little different.

The grips are wood, with silver medalion, checkering adn the are BLACK.
The gun looks almost black , not blue. Really deep blue ,almost black finish.

Is this normal for 1980-1981 Series 70 Gold Cup?
