This would be aftermarket engraving so not sure how to value it. There are firearms appraisers around that could give you an approximate value. Post some nice clear pictures and some of the forum members may be able to give you and idea as to real world value.

Indeed. You should also mention the paperwork and box that comes with it.

    Rough estimate:

Take the price of a New Gun Add the Cost of the Engraving. Either Add or Subtract for use, abuse or Recognized Engraver or Provenance that would elevate the firearms. i.e. It belonged to Charleston Heston, John Wayne, etc. or subtract for Bubbas electric pencil. LOL

Biography IMO, he would be on par price wise with Colt C or D level coverage.

Since it doesn't seem to have an original box or any paperwork, I'd guess the value at about $3000-$3500.

I'd like to see it with the ivory grips on it. Do you still have them?

While being an appealing engraving job, It has been my experience, A Non-Factory engraved gun will never bring the value of a documented Factory Engraved Pistol. Check recent auction prices realized of factory vs. "custom" engraved items.
