That would be the new, hush hush...... M1911A2.
Sorry... that's all I can say.... and certainly these pictures I have are off limits as well.
On the S&W forum someone posted a link to a Canadian newspaper article about the Canadian military replaceing their old Inglis Hi-powers. The main focus of the post is the fact the Canadian military is going to destroy the Hi-powers rather then sell them. But what got me curious is the article states they will be replaced by products of "Colt Canada". What sort of semi auto pistol is Colt making thats more modern then a Hi-power?

Huh...
I think the Canadians ought to have Colt make them up a batch of New Service Revolvers in .455 Eley, and, a bunch of M1911s in .455 Eley 'Automatic' as well, and go with that...AND, 'sell' off and NOT destroy all those old Inglis High Powers to help fund it. They could just list the darned things on Gun Broker and make out a lot better than wholesaling them out to some Broker or other...and it'd give them somehting to do, too.
Was there no Eley equivelent for the 9mm P-'08 Cartridge those Inglises could have been chambered in? Seems odd ( downright boring even ) they would have gone with a standard Cartridge, when so many other curious examples could have been chosen instead.
( Sorry, was feeling humerous...)
But I would like to know more abut this - is Colt REALLY going to make something for them?
