I am new to the forum but only because I didn't know there was one. I have had several Colt 1911's for a few years and I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the Tank Commander Model. The one I have is an 80 series with a padded Colt zipper pouch and tan cardboard box with the serial number. The box says Tank Officers Model and the pistol says TCXXX for the serial number. I understand from Colt that it was a limited run of 350 in 1989 but other than that I have not found anyone who knows anything about it. I don't know if it's rare or valuable or run of the mill so I would appreciate any help anyone has to lend. Thanks.
