Congratulations on the new gun, Larry. It's my hope you will create some great memories with it in the future.
for awhile now i've been planning on picking up a new combat elite xse. well, this came along first. i bought one like it when i was in my early 30's for the substantial sum of $400. later i gave it to my oldest son when he was leaving and going on his own. i lost the boy just a few years later, and the gun was gone too. fortunately i was able to recover the weapon a couple of years farther up the road, special sentiments yet intact.
some guys don't like series 80, but gosh the original one that i bought back then really performs, and rides with me almost daily. this second one is costing me the high retail price of an xse, but i'm too close emotionally to this model, and to Colts for that matter to pass on one so nice. only thing is, i'd have shot the living blazes out of a new xse, but this little gal's staying pampered.
the seller provides layaway so i don't have her just yet but couldn't resist a bit of bragging. take care all!
