1903 .32 Pocket Hammerless

I am finally going to shoot my 1903 .32, but wondered where I can acquire ammo. Can I shoot modern pressure loads from say Bass Pro/Wal Mart through it?

Yes you can shoot modern ammo in your 1903..i buy my ammo on gunbroker..you may have to look around but i just picked up 5 boxes for less then 10 bucks a box shipped..factory ammo..im shooting my 1903 today and love the gun..i am always surprised how accurate these little guns are-and the gun has never jammed..have fun..

Standard .32 ACP ammo should be fine if the gun is in good condition. I would NOT use +P ammo in these guns.

ok sounds good, unfortunately the gun does not have the original clip and i have to use an after market one for now until i buy an original.

.32 auto has to be kept within safe operating limits of old guns chambered for it. Same for S&W .38, .45 long Colt, and others. If you load for it, be sure to keep it at the level that functions well, but not off the hook, so to speak. It would be too bad to blow up a nice old pistol. Worse to blast shrapnel into your squash.

New member here with a (new to me) 1903 .32 made around 1914-1915. What was the original load for the .32 acp round, 71 grain, 72, grain? What should I look for in ammo? Also, I assume hard ball would be best? I appreciate any info from all you experts. Thanks.
