If the gun is a good shooter i think thats a fair price...
while looking around a gun shop today I came across a 32 auto of 1907 vintage, finish wise the gun is 50%, mechanically nice and tight, nice barrel, grips were nice, certainly not a safe queen, but should be a good shooter. Asking price was 385 not including tax, I did not buy it, check with you guys first, what do you think?

Without seeing it, hard to tell. But 1903 32 auto shooters go for more on GunBroker and the like.
Price sounds more than fair.
Sounds like a keeper. Good luck.
Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.
SHooter price seems to be around 450 - 500 recently.
Go back tomorrow and get it.

How rough is the finish really? My 1903s are pretty far gone in the appearance department, but that was reflected in the price, and I got exceptionally good deals. 50% finish remaining doesn't sound too bad, according to my personal standards, however low they may be.
Go get that little gun and see what you have. Then post it here so we can tell you how you did.
buy it
Yep, get it!
Colt 1911 (Remington Rand M1911A1 x2)
Colt 1903 Hammerless Type 1 .32ACP
Colt AR-15 Sporter II (sold, will buy another!)
If it is 50 percent of the Original finish, and, not 50 percent of an old re-Blue...and all is well mechanically and with the Bore, and the Stocks are right for the period and intact, and Magazine is correct for the period, or at least is a Colt Magazine and not a re-pop, then, it sounds like a very good deal.
If a worn re-blue, with later Stocks, and high-milliage/worn or iffy mechanicals and hardly any Rifeling left in the Bore, and a re-pop Magazine, then, it would not be a very good deal in my opinion.
