Colt Series 80 bright nickel 38 super.

Looking at a Series 80 ser.#FGXXXXX bright nickel 38 super.

100 original, no box, very good condition. ( not mint)

They are asking 800.00 . I cant find anything to compare it to ?

    Price sounds fair?

I would say that that is in the ball park if nice condition.

New 38 super is about $1000-1200 depending on finish. I would say it's a fair price. The reason you can't find anything to compare it to is there are not many around. I bought one because I like the caliber. It will make you smile. Jim

Get it. I paid 775 for blued and 839 for stainless 1 and 2 years ago respectively - so your price range seems good.

When will you be picking it up?
    nothing

I agree, sounds fair and the 38 super is fun to shoot! I looked for that same pistol around these part for a long time and never saw one. I eventually got a 02991 (blued gov't model). The pistol shoots awesome.

The only thing I dislike about it is chasing brass for reloading. I don't want to turn into 'that guy' at the range that is more focussed on brass than targets.

Perhaps it is Bright Stainless and you were blinded by the "Bling"....
