Getting the Colt fever

Okay...so I finally pulled the trigger on a minty DS I found on the smith forum...I also sold my Kimber tle to finance it...I never warmed up to the Kimber even though it was a good shooter....now I'm jonesing for a plain Jane steel commander...only mod I would make is a short trigger as I have small hands, not to mention I hate the look of the solid long trigger). Anyway, how do the new colts stack up quality wise?

I think the new Colts are better then ever. Are you looking for new or an older version? Alot of guys like the Defender and the New Agent. I believe there is a New Agent for sale in the Classifieds at this very moment.

I'm looking at new...older ones would not be on the CA DOJ roster. Although I'm not sure if I can get an LEO exemption for a series 70. I did get a DS recently but they are authorized for me to carry...guess I need to look into whether all guns are exempt or just authorized duty/off duty carry.
