96535-S would have shipped in 1951. That's long after the point at which the last standard velocity Woodsman was built, so you can shoot HV ammo in it.

I was wondering if anyone would know the approximate age of a woodsman with the serial no. 96536- S. Also I had heard that the older woodsman should be fed long rifle (standard velocity). Is this true ? thanks for any info
