Very interesting. I'd never considered the chronology of the screwdrivers. Thank you for in interesting post.
Finally Found the Colt Amber Colored Screwdriver that came with the early 2nd Model Woodsmans. I don't believe that they survived more than a few years starting in 1947. Some of the ones I've seen did not hold up well with the plastic handle deteriorating and blade rusting. I bet a lot of them were separated from the pistols and did service for other uses, all of which took me several years to find one good.

I have arranged the Colt Woodsman Screwdrivers in decending chronological order, starting from left to right: The earliest is the wood handled SAT from about 1915 to 1920+/-. These also came with Officer's Model Revolvers and other similar Revolvers. The next Hex type ran from 1920's to the end of pre-war production. The Amber Colored SAT with the "COLT'S" marking lasted from 1947 to ?. The more familiar Colt Round SAT started in the 1950's to sometime in the 1970's ? I'm not 100% sure about all the dates, and would love to have some input.
