Commercial Model frame, but everything else is a parts gun.
So, i recently traded for a "colt" 1911. rolls marks have been taken off and the gun has been re-blued, it has the extended slide stop, different sights, aftermarket grips. but the thing that is getting me is the serial number. from what i've looked up it is 1913 serial number being c220x.
but the frame features done match that era. i have the arched MSH, finger grooves cut out near trigger, and even the trigger is bigger.
what could this mean? possible hack job? illegal?
thanks

Its not 1913, as the frame is a A1 model.
Whats the first 4 digits of the serial number?
If it isn't durable, it isn't reliable.
Just got your response on the other forum, it appears to be a 1946 or thereabouts frame.
