if in good to great shape $500-700...higher with original box
I just heard that Colt is coming out with a new Mustang, and while I am exicted about that, I found an old Mustang in my local pawn shop.
It's in pretty good shape, got some wear marks, but overall seems pretty clean. Cycles smooth and the trigger feels decent.
What you reckon one of these in decent shape is worth? Are they decent guns? I've heard that parts can be tough to find though...
Opinions?

In my area, Southern Az, those would be under $500.
Just bought a Mustang Pocketlite and a Pony Pocketlite in the last week for under $500 each.
There are parts and magazines out there, internet based parts places have plenty.
New parts will be available soon also, since Colt has just re-introduced the Mustang.
Colt revolvers... it's a happy addiction.
Never saw any with broken parts to need replacements.
nothing
So very true.
I went to Numrich to look around at parts... every part for the gun is there including slides....
All from the days of crappy gun making.
I say that cause Colt is saying the quality is better on the new Mustangs than the ones we own.
Get a new or used Colt, tons of parts available. You will be very happy. I love my Lil Ponies.
Oh, tons of factory and non-factory magazine available too.
I just ordered some from CDNN today.

Hey there...welcome to the forum!
Given that you can get a new one now that is made better than the originals for $599.00 MSRP....unless this one is significantly cheaper or a collectable...I would wait for a new one to come along...just my opinion.
Welcome to the forum!
The only people I have seen so far that say the new ones are better than the old ones are Colt.
The people who are desperate to get back into the compact 380 market.
Until I see some independent evaluations that say the new ones are better than the old ones, I will be skeptical.
FWIW, most gun writers are biased towards whoever gives them a gun to evaluate. So finding good data is next to impossible.
Colts new marketing strategy on the Mustangs, "This isn't the crap we sold your Dad".
Nice strategy to damage the used market value, of which they make nothing, and sell their new guns.
You will enjoy whichever you get.![]()

Given that the new receiver, slide and barrel are CNC machined from solid bar stock compared to the old cast receiver would indeed make these better made than the old ones....as previously stated. This is purely from a manufacturing point of view. Personal preference, cost, nostalgia and availability will ultimately determine which one you like the most and which one you would rather have.
Trust me when I tell you I have no bias regarding the new version.... I just believe it to be true based on the information available. Personally, I wish they had left well enough alone
There have been many posts on this and other forums positively reviewing the latest version. The only negative thing I remember hearing so far is the lack of availability and the dealer price gouging because of the lack of product.
