Need help finding mags for 38 Super

I have a Colt Lightweight Commander in 38 Super. I've been loking for additional mags. The mag on the Colt web site is a 9 round mag. My gun came with (2) 8 round mags. The spec. on the gun is 8+1. I'm a bit confused.

My experience has been that the .45 and Super 38 Govt models use different magazines.

Having said that, I'm confused that the original poster's pistol came with eight round magazines. The factory magazines for my Super 38 accept nine rounds.

Agree , factory capacity has always been 9 rds . Pre-war , post-war , 9 rds .

Colt factory 9 rd mags should be relatively easy to find .

Both Midway and CDNN have them. I just bought two Colt 9 round stainless ones from Midway. They were out of the blue. CDNN has the Colt brand and others.
