Question TALO Wiley Clapp Commander (Ser 70) or Colt Lightweight Commander (Ser 80) ?

Going to look at a TALO Wiley Clapp Commander 1911, which, as I understand it, has the Ser 70 Safety.
Wondering if it would be smarter to look at a regular Colt Lightweight Commander 1911 with the Ser 80 Safety ?
I think the two weigh about the same and have roughly the identical dimensions etc.
The only thing the Wiley Clapp seems to have is the gold Bead Front Sight and a few other minor changes (Front Strap and special Grips, which I'm not that keen on anyway.)
    Any thoughts or recommendations?
I do not have much experience with Colt 1911's.

    Thanks
    Ken

PS: am also looking at a Ser 80 Commander (NOT Lightweight) and wonder if maybe the Non-Lightweight is easier to shoot well due to less felt recoil because it is not lightweight ?

70s could fire when dropped and 80s are not supposed to fire - don't know if it matters other than a 70 series can usually achieve a better trigger pull easier. Traditionalists want 70 and most of us don't care.

I have looked at one for quite a while and cannot seem to want it - they aren't good looking to me at all.

I'd go for a plain Commander (non-XSE series).

+1 -- everything you need and nothing you don't need.
