the shooters here will say go shoot it and the collectors will say put it away and shoot something else.
i say it's your gun so do what you like with it![]()
Hello, I wanted to get some opinions on my new acquisition. I purchased an unfired Colt super 38 in original box and was wondering what its worth and would it be okay to take out and shoot.
Thanks
Everett

Thanks Ace. I am itching to squeeze the trigger...:-)
Shoot it, that's what they were made for.
Yeah its going to be at the range very soon. I never realized how hard it is to put that spring into its proper position..damn near gave up..:-)
I know I'd shoot it. That's one Colt that I would like to have.

Thanks for the offer Kid Sopris. I will take it out this weekend and see what kind of shooter she is.

I checked on a new 38 Super Commander for CCW from Colt Custom Shop out of curiosity and it was $1900 plus shipped to FF, this was done at the urging of local friend and Colt collector. Decided I don't need to spend that kind of money as my DE will do just fine and I only paid $800 NIB for it last year.
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'. . .
