I've got one standard fatory Colt mag with my 1911. I made the mistake...(only once) of palm slapping in the magazine like Magnum P I. The thin, flat metal base plate cut pinched the hell out of my palm ! LOL . It's now and forever in the box the gun came in. I now only use Wilson Combat mags...with the (child proof) rounded plactic bottoms.
