Many thanks for the info I've received concerning feed problems with my Mid Range. I have a friend who also owns one and we tested them side by side with three magazines. Both guns failed to cycle the 5th round with all three magazines. We removed the magazine springs- all three were different lengths. I added a 1/4"riser to the bottom of one of the mags- same result. I removed the riser and reassembled the mag but let 1/2" of the mag spring extend below the bottom of the mag. Same result. The only time I managed to get off a string -5- was when I oiled the inside of the mag with Rem Oil. Worked on my friend's mag too. But it did not last. Second string- jammed 5th rnd on both guns. My friend reloads and I use Georgia Arms and Ammo. Both rounds are 148 gr, with bullet seated flush with the case end. Ammo made no difference. We concluded that the problem is not the mag spring.I called Georgia Arms. The owner is a former Bullseye shooter. Was a great help. (Ammo is great, too). He called Clark's in Louisiana. Was told that this is a common problem they'd fixed on many Mid Ranges. I called Clark's and they assured me the mag can be tuned and will work. We are sending 2 mags to Clark next week with fingers crossed. I will let you know if this is the solution. FYI- called all over USA, Numrich, etc., for mag spring. No luck. Don't bother to call Wolfe- line is always busy. Emailed them 4 days ago and haven't received a response. And calling Colt is like calling the Titanic.
