    That's a third series sport. First series sport's have higher resale value, and they have been selling at the $550.00 range in the same condition as the the one you posted.

    So what's so special about some of these other Woodsman's that I listed for $1500.00 to $2500.00? I always admired Colt but new to collecting them.

    The pre-WWII varieties bring considerably more money than the later ones. Rarity and condition are the primary determinants of value. Match Target models bring the most. Special orders, experimentals, factory engraved, etc. can bring thousands, or tens of thousands. You might want to take a look at my former collection at: Colt Woodsman Display to get an idea of the variety that is out there.
