I am sure our experts are gonna want close ups of all the markings.
I have it on hold. Not original grips, been parkerized, slide release looks like it might have been from a different gun. I think this is how she was re-done after ww1 before WW2, but i"m not sure. I know it isn't all original but like it anyway. Just trying to decide whether that would be too much to pay. I posted in new member section but I think this was the forum I should be in. Any advice is appreciated!

$1500 is a little on the high side for an arsenal refurbished 1911. I paid $1000 for a similar gun 3 years ago, I don't think values have risen 50% in 3 years. I bought an original Ithaca M1911A1 for less than $1500 earlier this year.
I paid 1800 for a US&S 3 months ago. This one is a little high.
I agree. In focus, close up shots are needed. I think 1500 is 500 too high for a refinished piece. Does it have an AA stamp on the left side frame by the triggerguard or a RIA stamp on the right side frame? Those are two of the most common areas it could have been re-furbished.
Then on the other hand, if it calls to you then the heck with it...in five years you probably will be bragging on what a great price you got it for!!
I prefer Colts.....Semper Fi
The mark by the trigger looks like a triangle with turned v or greater than symbol below it. Anyone know what that means?
Seems high.
Without some real pictures, its hard to determine whether or not it is a legitimate Arsenal Rebuild. Not all Arsenal Rebuilds were marked..... and Maintenance Depot Rebuilds were never marked. Even if it is, it is certainly overpriced.
Seems a little high.
