Internal parts for a 1911 mainspring housing.

Are the internal parts interchangable on all the standard Colt factory MSH's regardless of age or flat ver arched? I'm thinking they should be but wanted reassurance before I picked one out.

I believe they are, except that there are several strengths (if that is what you call it) of mainsprings.

The Colt Officer's ACP and Defender types used shorter springs and shorter plungers.

As far as I can remember, all other government Model and Commander type models uses the same mainspring assembly.
