    Army Special cylinder stop (bolt)?

Anyone out there have one for a reasonable price? My project Army Special has a worn stop and the cylinder will turn when the hammer is at rest. I think a different cylinder stop may allieviate this problem. Thanks!

Of course, it is essentially the same as for the original Trooper, M357, Official Police, Officers Models and Python. You might try Jack First, but I don't know what you consider reasonable. They have become a little pricey like everything else that is scarce.

The only sources for new bolts I know of are Colt, and they won't sell you one since they reserve them for their own repairs, and Jack First, who makes new ones.

Unfortunately, Colt cylinder bolts require extensive and VERY knowledgeable fitting. These are about as far from drop-in as you can get.
Even more unfortunately, the Jack First new made bolts require major shaping since critical areas are only very roughly shaped.
Where a genuine Colt bolt tail is smoothly shaped and contoured, the Jack First bolt tail is a very over-sized rectangular lump.
Fitting a Jack First bolt requires some heavy duty skills to fit.

If the wear is at the point where it engages the cylinder it can be repaired. For very small parts I tip them with my mig welder and reshape them. If nec'y I case harden with Kasenit.
