Gun Scrubber on A Nickel Python safe???

I bought a 2 1/2" Nickel Python that has been sitting for awhile. I removed the Pearl Grips and there is a bunch of "Green" inside the frame and Main Spring. Does anyone have experience spraying a Nickel gun with A product such as Gunscrubber? I don't want to harm the finish but need some aerosol assistance. The Nickel is about flawless on the outside of the gun. Thanks!

I have used GunScrubber and the like on nickel guns with no apparent problem. The main caution is avoiding prolonged exposure to products containing ammonia which will react with the copper sub-plate if it can get to it. The green is interesting as it could be verdigris from exposed copper. Most seem to recommend using lemon juice or vinegar to remove verdigris from items like jewelry.

Thanks for the Info! I am going to try the gunscruber on the inside of the frame and keep the exposure to the Nickel at a minimum. The Green is almost like green Grease, it is thick and ugly?? If the scrubber doesn't accomplish what I am looking to do, I will try the other methods. Thanks again.
