    Spring change

    Hello all.

Wanting to know how hard it is to change out the mainspring on a colt Trooper MK III? Midwayusa has the reduced power springs in stock.

Im not a gunsmith by any means and the only thing i have ever changed on one of my guns is the MSH on my GSG-1911-22.

Also does anyone know if changing the spring truly helps with the trigger pull?

Thanks for helping out a newbie.

This book will have all you need to know about that revolver, with pictures.

It is also available at Midway.

Just remember that lighter springs can sometimes lead to misfires. Always check any "business" gun with 100-200 rounds to insure that ignition is not a problem.
