Does Colt refinish Woodsman pistols?

I recently purchased a Colt Woodsman 6inch barrel 2nd series made 1950-51. The barrel is about 70% blue the rest of the pistol is 90% or so. There is no rust or pitting.

If I decide to have it refinished I only want Colt to do it. Does Colt refinish the Woodsman series pistols? After all the made thousands of them for nearly 90 years and I am sure a few of them still out there could use a new refinish.

You'd have to ask Colt.
They aren't doing any work on many of the older guns because they no longer have any parts to replace something if they find a problem.

No, they do not refinish woodsmans. I wish they did. Colt recomends Jack First Gunshop, 1201 Turbine Drive, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703. 605-343-9544

Turnbull's and Ford's are reputed to do excellent work on old Colts as well.
