Another Happy ending....![]()
I'm Happy. Just finished installing Elliason (Kensight) rear target sight and an original Elliason front sight on my 4" Python. The old Accro rear was always kinda floppy, and I found out that there were no springs under it. I bought the revolver used, it's possible it was installed that way, but more likely someone pirated the springs. Not a hard job, a little filing on the underside of the front sight(pin holes a bit high) to get lineup. Hardest part for me was keeping those two little springs in place while installing the rear sight. A little grease in the spring holes did the trick. It functions fine. Got the Kensight rear from Midway, the front from a forum member in North Dakota. Only thing I needed was a 1/16" pin punch and the correct screwdriver for the sight slot. Can't wait to shoot it! Have a good day.

You'll like the Elliasons on the Python. I had a pair of Elliason-equipped Pythons that I used for PPC when I shot on the LAPD Team. They were used in the Distinguished Revolver match. With the Elliason, I could dial in a neck hold, and then come up 10 clicks for center at 25 yds on in to 15 and 7. Couldn't do that with a Smith unless you custom-ordered "tall sights" for PPC. An excellent sight on a superb revolver. Here's another Python I bought and set up with Elliasons and a factory tune:
