Can't help personally, but I understand this is the go-to book for working on SAA's:
The Colt Single Action Revolvers: A Shop Manual, Vol I & II......by Jerry Kuhnhausen
Amazon has it for about $45.00.
Good Luck
Hi
Anyone know the proper preceedure for fitting a replacement bolt in a 1st generation SAA? Tried to replace one but when trying to cock the hammer, the cylinder is locked up and won't move. What needs to be filed to make the new bolt work properly?
THANKS!

If you can PM me about this & give me your ph.# I can help w/your problem on the phone but not on this "evil machine" I'm not good w/it,the single action repair manual mswill mentioned is worth buying,I was a major contributor of tuning & repair methods for this book,if you'll look in the front of the book under "acknowledgements u can see what Jerry says about me.
Hi Jim,
Glad to see you on.

I wouldn't have got here w/out your help,my "evil machine" still won't send or forward emails & this is the only site I can go on because all the rest of my contacts r still in the old machine,Greg will probably start working on restoring all the info from the old machine sometime next week .
Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here.Due to the fact I'm so "technically challenged" on this "evil machine"I don't know how to post pictures but if any of you would like to see part of my SA collection you can go on gunfightergulch.com to the photo gallery,I've added to my collection since the last time the site was updated.
Let me guess, the old 'puter had outlook and the new one wants you to use Live Mail.
I got a fever, and the only cure is more guns.
