    Python mystery hammer??

    python hammers.jpg

Does anyone know what the hammer on the left fits? As you can see it is very similar to the Python hammer to the right but the SA sear area is turned up and the spur is curved down somewhat. Thanks in advance for any info.

I would say a Python hammer(left) and trigger(right) on which the hammer toe and sear have been modified for a shorter lighter action, don't know by whom. Here is another example:

another SA-only officers model match (*LARGE PICS*)

It was also done by the factory:

    I believe you are correct.

After mounting the hammer in another frame it does indead have a shorter action. Good info in you post. Thanks.
