    Yes sir, that's my Baby!

We've had a lot of love recently for some older S&W revolvers. A popular hideaway Smith is the early. pre-36 "Baby Chief". I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

That's a beautiful gun. Wish I had a nice S&W like that to show to everyone.

I found this Baby Chief at a gun show here in SouCal in 2011. It was just a few minutes after the doors opened and the dealer was still setting up. He had a copy of the Blue Book out and was filling out price tags. He priced this one according to the book for a Model 36 in excellent condition. The red box is numbered to the gun. I almost set my Levis on fire getting my wallet out. Normally I pay about 20% more than the rest of the country for guns here in CA, once in a while I get lucky.

I have been trying to get a mint boxed first year, think sn is in the 1100 range but haven't had any luck getting him to actually sell it yet, just talk about doing so far.
Rick, nickel, red box, amazing condition. Great example to say the least.

If you find the revolver you like, there's a guy in Sparta, TN that can provide you with a mint box and label for it. If he doesn't have a box in stock he'll get one made.

    Mine...

I modified it for right front pocket 'Pocket Carry', with regular Levis, back in 1989...CCW'd it pretty much every day till just a few years ago.
