    R.L. Wilson on TV

How is it that R.L. Wison, a convicted felon, can participate on TV and handle firearms? He was on that show the other night in the "Gunsmoke" gun shop handling guns. I always thought that was an automatic five years in the Crossbar Hilton?

    Good question.
Perhaps his attorneys checked with the federal probation authorities or the DOJ and received a ruling that he is not technically "in possesion" of a firearm if he is handling one outside of his domicile for a tv show for a few brief minutes as a one time event?

Maybe it was a previously recorded event. He did a lot of them .

It is possible for a convicted felon to go through court and have gun rights reinstated. Wilson's crime was non violent so he would probably have little trouble regaining his gun rights.

If the crime he was convicted of was not a crime of moral turpitude he can apply for a Relief From Disabilities from ATF. If granted he would be able to acquire a firearm. The relief may go under another name now, not sure.

Tried watching the show but had to leave the room and hurl. After Wilson came in as the expert I couldn't believe it . Final straw was the episode where the Minister wanted a SA for fast draw, and after showing him the Colts ,told him he needed a custom built SA , for a measly $ 10k. I mean this is the gunshop for suckers and fools. You could buy an engraved ivory stocked Colt with the best tuned action in the world for a fraction of that, and still have plenty left for a Ruger Vaquero modified for fast draw and fanning. Gunsmoke Gunshop, Matt Dillon is spinning in his grave. Jeez, somebody please cancel this turkey

    What was R. L. Wilson's crime?

The name seems familiar, but I am not informed on this.

Didn't he also write some Books about Colts? Or..?
