A special thanks to Bayouboy and MtnSpur

Earlier this week there was a Gunbroker auction for a 1941 square butt DS that is most probably a government purchased gun (the Colt letter will tell....).
Bayouboy had already bid. I didn't recognize the name he is registered under at Gunbroker. MtnSpur was intending to bid but didn't when he recognized my screen name. I am registered on Gunbroker the same as here, Malysh.

I placed a low bid on it figuring I wouldn't get it, knowing that the chances are the gun is worth a lot more than I was willing to bid. I was focused on a 1951 Cobra I thought I might want. Bayouboy saw I bid on the gun and he stopped bidding. MtnSpur was intending to bid until he saw my screen name.

Where else but the Colt Forum will one find such kind, considerate gentlemen? You gents are a class act.

Thank you both very much for allowing me to acquire my first pre 1950s Colt D frame snubby, albeit the most collectable one I will have.
Your kindness to me will not be forgotten, even years from now.

    Mike

    Mike,
You are so right, we have an outstanding group of people on this forum. People of integrity, honor, and compassion. The friends I have made on this forum I know I can trust, and look forward to reading their posts, and conversing back and forth about anything, not just guns. This is truly amazing, because I have never met any of them in person. After 27+years in law enforcement, I have a slight cynical attitude, LOL! My wife tells me that I do not play well with others. Well I play just fine here on this forum. God Bless, and Merry Christmas my friends.

Appreciate the kind words Mike. That DS with my name on it will arrive someday but not at the expense of a friend

And Lou, you might have been a tough LEO but your heart beats warm my friend. Got a DS for me 1949 would be nice
