Colt Gold Cup National Match "100 Years" Blue ???

I just found out that Colt recently re-introduced the Colt MK IV Gold Cup National Match 1911, .45 ACP in blue with "100 Years" medallions on the wrap around grips/stocks. Earlier in the year I purchased the Gold Cup Trophy, "100 Years" which is the ONLY Gold Cup listed on the Colt retail list. My Trophy is SS with "100 Year" medallions. The just released National Match is in blue with "100 Years" medallions. First question is, does the newer released NM "100 Years" come in SS and is the Trophy "100 Years" offered in blue? Also, when is Colt expected to stop production of either of these now that it is 2012?

There are 2 Blued models That I am aware of, the 05870NM that has the standard Gold Cup Hammer & grip safety, the other model is 05870CS which has the skeletonized hammer and beaver style grip safety. both models are the round top slide (Matte) and not the flat top (grooved), they come with 2 magazines 1-7Round & 1-8round, barrel bushing wrench, and a lighter recoil spring for match target ammo. I own the 05870NM and have no complaints what so ever, shoots like a dream!

Great info tinker and thanks. I am just still not familiar with them being offered with the "100 Years" medallions. There was one NIB earlier today on GA for sale with the "100 Years" medallion. Hesitant to pull the trigger at $1059.99.

That's a pretty great price for a new Gold Cup model, new standard Colt Government models are going for around $800.00 & up ! for a little more you can upgrade to a Gold Cup National Match. pull the trigger you only live once!
