Whats up with that? Mine that I bought new in 1971 has two pins. (I still have the original grips).

Yeah, I saw it earlier and thought it looked odd, something about it just feels off....... beyond the pin-issue, might not be used to seeing them with that kind of grip, but I think it's more. Maybe others will chime in.

Nice one you have! Really like the grips, what are they? They look real sharp and different.

Not just the single pin holding the front site, but the barrel seems proud of the frame. I looked at mine and the frame is proud of the barrel. The barrel script is slight, especially the 7 from 357. From the pictures, the rampant Colt also appears slight and somewhat washed out. I'm not an expert on electoylsis nickel, but the gun appears as though it was sandblasted?? Also, the trigger doesn't appear correct, I looked at my nickel Python and the trigger is nickel?? Maybe it's just late and past my bedtime.

    Rod

For comparison of barrel to frame, here's two pictures of my short barreled Python. Not good pictures but all I have for now.

It appears to be refinished. The barrel is larger than the frame and begs to question is it really a Python frame. The hammer has either been cut down some or is the wrong hammer,it appears to be smaller than the standard Python hammer.I might be picky but it doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.I have dealt with the seller a few times and they seem to be good people to deal with.D*

GVF, I cant remember where or when I even bought those grips, but I want to say they are "mustangs" made in the philippens. I dont know if I dreampt that, I may pull them off later and see whats inside. They are narrow and feel good to me. I have another set of faux ivory on a 4" that I like, dont know where I got these either but can look it up.

Bead-blasted nickel refinish. Still not a bad lookin' gun, though. It would have to be bought at the right price.

Look at the rampant Colt logo on the side plate. Looks pretty blurry not well defined-Gun looks refinished.

This gun looks off to me.The front sight should have two pins and on gross observation it looks to be refinished. It is definately not what it is being presented as ie"Mint".JMHO.

Love the ivory, have to wear white gloves to keep them clean!
