Angry So What is the Vison?

After perusing the online Colt 2012, I wonder what the General has planned. Unless Colt is holding back until after the SHOT SHOW, there is little new to be excited about. I mean the SHOW is in a week or so, so why not hold the presses until everything is ready to be revealed. That makes me think that this will be another year of disappointment for Colt fans, especially da revolver fans. I would have thought that by now ther would be a small frame 38 for the ccw market. And I don't want to hear that there is no demand, that is BS pure and simple. No 22 when the 22 market is exploding. Go have a look at Ruger offerings, and more are coming. I was waiting for the return of older models as the General stated in the Rifleman atricle. So if they are coming , when, nobody is getting any younger here. After finally getting the Mustang Pocketlite back into production, my dealer still can't get me one. They should be cranking these out like crazy as well as adding other variations, and maybe taking a bold step ,and beeifng it up by 10% to handle the 9mm

I can't recall the last time I saw any current Colts on my local dealer's shelves, let alone anything new. There is a large gun shop close to me that always had 12-15 new SAAs and Government variations in stock, and he hasn't had any for about a year now, except for a couple of high-dollar "commemorative" things. If I can't even get a current model, I don't hold out much hope for new stuff. When I ask the dealers where the Colts are, they just shrug and say "They're on order."

i think that is why they are constructing a plant in florida, they simply do not have the production capacity. colt is doing
well, yearly catalogs and print ads in all the gun rags, they are in better shape than they have been in years.

Every year it is the same rhetoric from the same folks complaining about what Colt isn't offering.

Instead of singing to the choir, why don't you call the General and ask him. Maybe his assistant Jim Tipton can provide you an adequate answer instead of all the rest of us crying in our beer with you.

Been there ,done that , get the same response every time. We are looking into that, can't comment at this time , too busy filling backorders. Would be nice to hear exactly what they are planning to make at the Florida plant, what old models they are thinking about bringing back, for a start Pretty frustrating.

If you had that order with your dealer you will wait longer, because he is waiting on his Supplier. Instead call call 1-800-962-2658, ext 1450 and give the order directly to Paul Smarrelli.

Colt what a Joke. I gave up on them as a New Weapons manufacturer 25 years ago and I stick to that decision as they have done nothing to disprove the logic of it.
