Interesting. The last photo tells it. Top is DA and bottom has the 'strut' removed from the hammer that makes Single Action. The trigger can't cock the hammer without being able to hook under the strut. Obviously work is done to the trigger/hammer sear interface. The SA conversion seems to full cock not so far back, giving faster lock time.
