look real to me. Plastic was discontinued in 1960 and at the time it was a black plastic. Brown plastic or "coltwood" stocks were discontinued about 1953.

Curious to get your take on these. I just took them off of a 3rd generation Woodsman Match Target (1975 production year). For some reason I thought they should be plastic, or have some sort of markings on the backs, but there is literally nothing. They appear to be some sort of lightweight wood with a fairly heavy lacquer or some such finish which makes the checking almost smooth. The pistol they came off of seems nearly new and had an original box and screwdriver, but no paperwork.
At any rate, I know the experts can tell me what I've got.

Yep, those appear to be the original factory grips for a 1970's Woodsman.

smkummer is correct about color and material. Walnut stocks are correct for 1975 woodman match target.
