Just in Case you get a weird feeling....

It is obvious to me that some of us have been cramped up to tight already this winter and haven't had the proper exposure to the outside elements. In keeping with that thought, I want all of you here to know that today, I am going to a Gun Show and I will think of all you poor souls locked up; thus you may enjoy the vicarious living through my adventure and for once in your life, (or maybe more) you can feel the "California Experience" of living through someone else adventure. I will specifically look for Colt's though I doubt I will find any and If by chance I happen to find a treasure worthy of exposure to this distinguished group of "nefarious" and "ne'er do wells" I will certainly display it here.

It's a small Local Gun Show, so consider this a small token effort.

I saw a couple of interesting Items, though not necessarily priced for optima buying. A Colt Match Target in 22 and one in 38.
Both had varying degree's of issues either priced to high for condition or priced to high with broken grip panels, So I didn't spend much time with them.

The only other Item of interest was a Colt Bisley in 22L/R..Yeah that's what I said...IT was NOT for SALE and the Owner wouldn't even take it out of the glass case for examination. BUT from what I could see was that the barrel crown was reset and I don't know much other than that. Crabby stuffed guy who was more disagreeable than myself...

Yeah....My Bad, "Officers Model", well you can tell I wasn't overly impressed with the offerings, if I couldn't remember correctly... 26 degrees and a 30 minute line to get in.....Not even the Starbucks helped.

I have never seen a Colt revolver where the crown was recessed. To Me it looked sleeved, but to be honest I couldn't see the detail as clearly as I wanted to.
The Cylinder face looked correct from what I could see, BUT I can't offer any more detail than that.

Since I haven't seen one before, and I know that some 44rf were converted, I don't know if Bisleys were converted. With a 5 1/2", barrel I suppose it could be original, but did Colt use a Sleeve or rebarrel with a properly crowned Barrel. I don't honestly know. I will have to defer to someone else with more expertise.

OK, I feel it, as I sit here waiting for the St/9ner game....Crown/Coke in hand.
