Thank you! Why should I mind? I got my name from a comic book of the same name. The series is about a judge who dispenses justice from the end of a rope or from his Colt. Since I am a judge and like Colts, it seemed natural to me to adopt the title. If anyone ever thought that the name was too "uppity," I would always counter with the fact that I got it from a comic book!

I will have to check the comic book author to see it if is the same author.

Am I the only one who knew this? Judge Colt comics even show up on eBay every now and then. Kid Colt was another of my favorites, but with a white hat (and red shirt and blue jeans). Strange that I am not drawn to SAAs in real life. Remember that comic books were the iPod and FIOS of the day.

Only if they are old enough. I am and I remember. And back when I started reading this forum there was abundant evidence to inculcate A1A as the TRUE Searcher and Judge Colt as a REAL Judge! LOL!

Seriously, you guys have both been inspiring to me, and I'm sure others, in learning more about our Colt's - Thanks guys!

I checked my "Judge Colt" comic books and find no author listed. In the file, I did find a paperback book entitled "Judge Colt, An Abridged Western Thriller By Archie Joscelyn," published by Crestwood Publishing Company of New York, New York, copyrighted in 1946 by Arcadia House. Perhaps that novel was the inspiration for the "Judge Colt" series of four comic books of 1969 and 1970, published by Western Publishing Company of Poughkeepsie, New York.

Judge Colt judges Colts, of course!

Judge Colt judges originality, collectabililty, and much more....about Colts.

Now that I know that Judge Colt is a REAL judge, and not just a lowly brother attorney like me, must I address him on Coltforum as Your Honor?

Above is the book that Judge Colt uses when he throws the book at the defendant!
