More grist for the mill. It's hard to believe that Bloomberg is that stupid and egotistical.

NYC Police Pursuing Technology To Scan Pedestrians For Guns | Fox News
As if I wasn't disgusted enough with my home town, considering prosecuting the nurse from TN (?) and the Marine from IN (semper fi!) who both voluntarily sought out security to check their guns and were then arrested.
Did you know that in the 1980s the City Council of NY actually banned pepper spray possesion? The public outcry was so great the Council rescinded the law. They didn't even want Joe Public to be able to defend himself with the most benign fight stopper available.
I'm sure glad I moved out.

Next up, YOUR PAPERS PLEASE.
You see the resistance to body scanners @ airports? King Bloomberg wants to allow NYC Cops to violate your rights @ will.Thank God I moved from "The KIngdom OF NYC"
I have relatives in Saratoga County, and they tell me there is talk of NY splitting into 2 states -- the "Upstate" crowd make no bones about being ultra conservative and pro-RTK&BA, and would welcome seeing the State Of New York City add its falling star to the flag . . .
I have this hidden desire that's surfacing, to take out an ad in the NY Times advertising a Gun Show in New York City....That will get the bees a buzzin'...
It would never happen, but it would cause some people an Pepto Bismo Moment.![]()

Can we send New York to Kalifornia?
I think there was a movement years ago to try and split NoCal. from SoCal. It never went anywhere.
I am certainly not a legal scholar but I think NYC would have a hard time using this type of equipment and not be challenged in court. I think they might lose. More taxpayer's money down the drain. It would still be an invasive act which speaks to privacy issues.
Whether the equipment is perfected and employed or it never goes anywhere, the mindset of the NYC leaders is extremely disturbing. I don't think most Americans appreciate being surveiled all the time. We are supposed to be presumed innocent before the fact.
