Go with God Hoppy. Touching account, thanks Wyatt.
My freind Mike in Arizona recently died from lung cancer. He was older than me but had the energy of a twenty two years old with his many hobbies. He was such a Hopalong Cassidy fan that years ago he put together a complete Hoppy outfit. I made him the gun belt and holsters and he went to the museum that houses Hoppy's original guns and took pics of them for his engraver to duplicate. Here he is a couple years ago hunting buffalo in full Hoppy attire.
Mike went down fighting. When I last called him in Az. two buddies were taking him to a cowboy shoot. He said it would be his last but he meant because he didn't have the energy any more. I haven't seen him in a few years but will miss him. And hope the best for his family. R.I.P. old pal.

You have to appreciate the guy's spirit. Yep, it's tough to lose any friend.
That's a great picture of your friend Wyatt and a moving story. The rig looks beautiful!
I'm not sure where you or him are at spiritually, but I truly hope you will see him again someday.
God be with you both! He is chasing that same buffalo upstairs I bet!
Thanks for sharing...I'll say some prayers.
Wyatt, stories and experiences like yours are the reason I'm proud to call myself a member here.
Have fun and be safe.
