People like to win lotteries for the obvious reason of not having to work and having anything you want. I just want to win the lottery so I could have a chance at winning something like this at auction
I heard about this but this is the first time I have seen any news on it. Thanks for posting Malysh.

Comparatively speaking the Tommy Gun wasn't too bad, but $80K for a Winchester M 97. WOW!

This is a classic case of Buying the Story and History, not the gun(s)..

As far as we know, these guns are legit. They were on display at the Springfield, MO. Police Museum since the 1970s. I remember somebody who actually visited the museum and was allowed to handle them, but I can't remember all the details.
The guns were confiscated during a raid at one of the gang's hideouts in Joplin, MO. Bonnie and Clyde were not there when the raid occured.

Well for sure, and as the saying goes: "money talks and baloney walks". It sure would be nice to be able to compete in an auction for such things, but way beyond my means.

Its to bad. Guns like those should be in a museum. I would liked to have seen them, even if behind glass.

Bonnie and Clyde had quite a few Guns all tolled through those years of adventure...

What happened to the various ones which were in their Car when they were ambushed and killed? They had quite a few Guns with them...( I forget now...did their families successfully petition for a return of the Guns? Or..? )

Clydes Saxophone is still missing...far as I recall...

Wasn't the Thomson seen in the Auction stolen by them? And, if so, why was it not returned to the rightful owner, then, when found in the Hide-out?

posse photo Sax was returned to family members.

" Among the items found in the Barrow death car was Clyde Barrow's saxophone which was returned to Cumie Barrow along with her son's other personal possessions and it ended up belonging to Nell Barrow Cowan who held on to it for many years before it was discarded."
